US declares public health emergency for swine flu




WASHINGTON – The U.S. declared a public health emergency Sunday to deal with the emerging new swine flu, much like the government does to prepare for approaching hurricanes.

/Officials reported 20 U.S. cases of swine flu in five states so far, with the latest in Ohio and New York. Unlike in Mexico where the same strain appears to be killing dozens of people, cases in the United State have been mild — and U.S. health authorities can't yet explain why.

"As we continue to look for cases, we are going to see a broader spectrum of disease," predicted Dr. Richard Besser, acting chief of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. "We're going to see more severe disease in this country."

At a White House news conference, Besser and Homeland Security Secretary Janet Napolitano sought to assure Americans that health officials are taking all appropriate steps to minimize the impact of the outbreak.

Top among those is declaring the public health emergency. As part of that, Napolitano said roughly 12 million doses of the drug Tamiflu will be moved from a federal stockpile to places where states can quickly get their share if they decide they need it. Priority will be given to the five states with known cases so far: California, Texas, New York, Ohio and Kansas.

Napolitano called the emergency declaration standard operating procedure — one was declared recently for the inauguration and for flooding. She urged people to think of it as a "declaration of emergency preparedness."

"Really that's what we're doing right now. We're preparing in an environment where we really don't know ultimately what the size of seriousness of this outbreak is going to be."

Oh yes, I learned a bunch of things today. They have been calling this virus the Swine flu. But what is actually is turns out to be a bio engineered designer type bug. It is the Swine flu, but it is piggy-backed with the Avian flu virus, and a human flu virus. When they were pushing the vaccines really hard, these vaccines and nasal vaccines were laced with 3 DNA receptors and only one is needed to enter a cell to be able to catch it. But when the Avian flu enters the cell, so do the other viruses because they are joined together as one larger virus.

We learned last time that Vitamin C in massive amounts, being 3,000 grams a day by IV, if possible, because that is the best form of receiving it, which will increase odds of survival. This has to be taken from the first symptoms and then for 3 full days. It has to be done more than once a day if needed, and continued longer if needed also. One gram is 1,000 mg. If there is no IV Vitamin C, it can be taken orally, however, vomiting often accompanies this virus. If that is the case, you can open up the capsules, or crush the pills to put in warm pruified water and put into a very slow enema. Huge dose of vitamin C can also cause loose or runny bowel movements, but that is more preferable than dying. It has to be done.

Then the other two strains can be dealt with by antivirals, and the inhaled kind increases survival rate the most. Over the counter fever reducers, and cold and flu medicines will make you feel a little better while being so sick. If a secondary infections occurs like pneumonia you will need antibiotics. If at all possible, get some to keep on hand. Many doctors and hospitals will no longer give flu victims an antibiotic for the flu, or their secondary infections.
We had a case like that in our household. In 1997 my grandson was admitted to the pediatric ICU with a secondary pneumonia infection from the flu. They said that they do not give antibiotics for flu or secondary infections from the flu anymore. But they did discover that he had an ear ache, which they do give antibiotics for, so he got antibiotics and started improving immediately. There was a little girl in there with him that was admitted with the exact same thing, but they would not give her antibiotics, because they could not find an ear ache or anything else that they decided they would give the antibiotics for. At the same time my grandson was getting checked out of the hospital because he was all better, the little girl passed away, and we had to make our way through her grieving relatives that had gathered as we came out of the ICU.

So now you know what you would need to get ready. I don't know how you could get the IV Vitamin C unless you have some friends in the health care industry.
