Discussion of sorts regarding this statement in the christian bible
'I eagerly expect and hope that I will in no way be ashamed, but will
have sufficient courage so that now as always Christ will be exalted/magnified in my body, whether by life or by death. FOR TO ME, TO LIVE IS CHRIST
AND TO DIE IS GAIN (Philippians 1:20-21).
What does that statement mean to a Sage like Shual,or a observant student of G-d.
Let us explore this a moment
What is self Nullification?
What is self saving?
What is Self sacrifice?
What is to live as christ' mean to a first century Sage immersed in the teachings of the day ?
Or for that matter has anything really changed, are we all the manifestation of the 'christ' in the aspect that the Divine DNA is within us All.
That may include the statement about the treasure in the earthen vessel
The great prize is within it seems. Our humanity just gets in the way
Our preconditioned perception gets in the way.
Paul it seems had a salvation ticket for everybody to follow, It is listed in his letter ~Philippians chapter four wherein it states:'Those things, which you have both learned, and received,and heard,and seen in me, do: and the peace/shalom shall be with you"
Looks like a serious man of Torah. In other words he is telling us that he was a living conduit for the divine an example to follow. Be a living Epistle' a living Torah and to pass those traditions that were learned.
He also taught If any mans work abide which he builds upon he shall receive a reward. That is saying the ball is in our court to become better than the last generation...Sounds like a famous Sage who stated Greater works shall you do..The only question is when ....will you decide to become all that you are supposed to be in the Divine plan of G-d.
Ok everybody do your homework , seek an historical link or root of understanding and from there hopefully we shall see the inner mind of Paul...from there we may see that that same pattern is in every seeker of G-d. a willingness to give there all and a willingness to lay it all down if need be for the greater cause. Holiness and Integrity
