ARIZONA watch your license plates because you could be in violation


If there is a major change to state law, it should be the responsibility of the state to notify every citizen that will be effected.

Maybe this is a money making scheme to pad the state deficit, and if they tell anyone, it could spoil scheme.

The "Arizona Republic" newspaper today, Jan 1, 2009, ran a story that Motorists should check their license plates this morning to make sure they don't ring in the new year with a hefty fine of $135 or more.


Starting today, it is illegal for a car's license plate frame to obscure the word "Arizona.

Motorists may be pulled over if "Arizona" isn't visible on their plate, and fines will average $135 plus court fees, depending on the city where the violation is discovered.



Thats right folks, make sure the state name is uncovered on your license plate- OR you WILL get pulled over and police could potentially use this as a "pretext" stop.



Amazingly our government failed to notify we the people of any changes, and since that failed notification is never the fault of any state agency, guess who will pay no matter what! That's right, YOU the people! Oh, save us from hidden agendas !



Now remember this is not a CITY ordinance. It is a state LAW and if you live in a small town the police are sure to ticket you for it. After all in Sierra Vista the police are known to ignore real crimes, simply due to the fact that minor speeding violations are so much more lucrative, and that they take such pride in handing out minor infraction tickets.
