How else is one going to memorize, internalize and actualize HaShem's TaNaKH, if they don't first turn to HaShem in repentance (in the manner of the Prodigal Son)

 ...and then demonstrate one's trust in and faithfulness to OUR Heavenly Father by doing His will and thereby become His TaNaKH made flesh? {IE-The Word made Flesh}

Rebbe Schneerson said it like this:

A pitcher of water is water. A crate of apples is apples. A house, too, is defined by what it contains. Fill your house with books of Torah, and your house becomes a Torah. Affix charity boxes to its walls, and your house becomes a wellspring of charity. Bring those who need a warm home to your table, and your house becomes a lamp in the darkness." "You can live in a palace filled with treasures and still be poor. To be wealthy you must own the things you have. So too with poverty of the mind. You may have all the knowledge and brilliant ideas in the world, but you are still poor until they have become part of you." It is taught that TESHUVAH and EMUNAH will lead one to STUDY and PRAYER.


See further, the Chumash with Rashi for Eikev, specifically Deut. 11:13.

And it will be, if you hearken: And it will be, if hearkening you will hearken.
If you hearken to the old [i.e., if you study what you have already learned], you will hearken to the new [i.e., you will have a new and deeper understanding].

Similar is [the meaning of] "And it will be, if you forget" (Deut. 8:19): If you have begun to forget [the Torah you have learned], eventually you will forget all of it, for so it is written in the Megillah 1: "If you leave Me for one day, I will leave you for two days." - [Sifrei on Deut. 11:22, Yerushalmi Ber . 9:5, Midrash Shmuel 1]


Hence, the "New Covenant" of Jer. 31:31-34, right?


One must study and memorize in order to internalize and thereby actualize the TaNaKh.

How else does the Word become flesh and dwelling among men!?

Let this mind be in you, which was also in Mar Yeshua the Anointed, right? (Philippians 2:5).

Look at the Greek word (G2758), which is translated as "no reputation" in the KJV (Philippians 2:7), and compare it to the Hebrew word and concept of bitul.[inner.org]


Like Mar Yeshua, you too are created in the image and likeness of HaShem, but until you humble and nullify your SELF, as Mar Yeshua did, then how can you become a conduit through which Ha'Shem's Spirit can flow unabated?

Rebbe Schneerson says like this:

It is the very DNA within' or as a famous Sage stated more than once. The Kingdom of G-d is within you.

What is the "the blockage and covering of your heart"...? It is an unwillingness to study and pray, which are signs that one hasn't turned to Ha'Shem in repentance and is also a sign that one doesn't trust in Ha'Shem and isn't being faithful to His Commandments. So, one should do teshuvah and have emunah and study and pray anew each and every day. This is how one removes the blockage and covering of their heart and prevents one's SELF from being stiffnecked.

The "New Covenant" is a daily renewal as one turns to HaShem in repentance (teshuvah) and demonstrates their trust in HaShem and faithfulness to His Commandments (emunah) as evidenced by one's study, prayer and good deeds.

I really wish that Chrisitans and Messianics would stop viewing good deeds and acts of loving-kindness and study and prayer as being "dead works of the Law."
